Balloon Game

We were playing this game to see what Key Competencies we needed to use in the game. We needed to Think- we had to keep moving to stop people popping our own balloon. We had to Manage Self- to try not to pop our own balloon. We had to set up our own balloon e.g., blowing it up and attaching it to our ankles.We could only use our feet. We also had to be careful to walk and not bump into each other. We had to use Relate to Others.- We had to listen to instructions. We had to compete but also co-operate together. We had to accept when our balloon got popped that we were out. We had to Participate and Contribute- We had to have the confidence to join in.

Swimming Sports

Plus:

• You get to swim a width
• It was fun
• Everyone got to swim
• We didn't have to walk very far
• Our class came third in the relays
• We had three events to do
• Some people qualified for the interschools

Minus:

• We had to wait between races
• We had to go in and out and got quite cold
• We had to wait for all the races to end

Interesting:

• Some 7 year olds beat some 8 year olds
• We got to eat our food whenever we wanted
• The teachers were in overalls for the relay
• You couldn't dive deep
• The teachers lost in the relay
• The teachers overalls ripped
